Do we need travel or cancellation insurance?

We recommend it. The charter fee is non-refundable once paid, and the standard agreement does not cover illness, missed flights or a family emergency on your side.

Charter cancellation cover is a normal product from yacht insurers and costs a small percentage of the fee. Your own travel insurance may cover part of it, so check before buying twice.
