All-inclusive or plus expenses: which is better?

Neither is cheaper by nature. All-inclusive is easier to budget and ends with no settlement; plus expenses means you only pay for what you actually use, with a receipt for every euro.

Compare the two by working out the all-in number for the week, not by comparing headline rates, because the two rates measure different things.

All-inclusive is common in the British Virgin Islands and rare in the Mediterranean, so in most destinations the choice makes itself.
