Perini Navi is an Italian yard in Viareggio, on the Tuscan coast, known for large sailing yachts with push-button sail handling. We list eight of its yachts for charter, and this page ranks all eight, from 82 to 210 feet (25 to 64 metres). The count runs from #8, the smallest, up to #1, the biggest, by the length on each yacht’s listing. Listed weekly rates start from €24,000 per week for the smallest and from €210,000 per week for the biggest.
Four list Greece among their cruising areas: SPIRIT OF THE C’S, XASTERIA, BARACUDA VALLETTA and TAMARITA. The other four list Sicily, Italy, Sardinia and the French Riviera. SPIRIT OF THE C’S also spends her winters in the Caribbean and the Bahamas. After the countdown we add one more Perini that charters out of Athens, the 30 metre BLACK LION, which we filmed on board.
Weekly charter fees for the Perini Navi yachts on this page start from about €24,000 per week, and the highest starting rate on the page is €210,000 per week (SPIRIT OF THE C’S reaches €230,000 per week in high season), before APA and taxes; ask us for your dates.
What makes a Perini Navi
Fabio Perini founded the yard in 1983 to build big sailing yachts that a small crew could run. The heart of his system is the captive reel winch: sheets and halyards wind onto drums driven by electric or hydraulic motors, with sensors that detect excessive load. With furling sails, it lets a small crew handle a sailing yacht of over 40 metres.
The best-known Perini is probably the 88 metre MALTESE FALCON, completed in 2006, a three-masted square rigger with a free-standing DynaRig. She is not on our charter list.
What this means on a charter: listed cruising speeds run from 8 knots (MALIZIA) to 13 knots (XASTERIA). Draft matters too: spec-box drafts run from 3.3 metres (MALIZIA) to 6 metres (HERITAGE M), JASALI II’s description adds a 3.9/8.3 metre figure, and TAMARITA and SPIRIT OF THE C’S have adjustable keels for shallower bays.

Published onboard review by our yacht reviewer
BARACUDA VALLETTA pairs adrenaline sailing with a strikingly clean Scandinavian-meets-Japanese interior, all white minimalism and sharp lines. Captain Evangelos and his long-serving crew … make good on their promise to create memories: candlelit dinners with stargazing on the flybridge, live music nights, and dolphins riding the bow wake more often than not.

She takes 12 guests in 5 cabins. The full-beam owner’s suite has an adjoining lounge and study, his and hers bathrooms and a sauna; there are also 2 doubles and 2 twins with Pullman beds. A separate dining saloon seats 12, and so does the round table on the aft deck. One more Perini, not on our list
BLACK LION, 100 feet
BLACK LION is not listed on our site, but we filmed on board. She is a 30.65 metre (100 ft) Perini Navi delivered in 2012, with a carbon fibre hull and superstructure and design by Nauta Design. She runs with a crew of four, and a crew member told us she sails at 13 to 14 knots and is quick in light winds. Her charter listings place her in Athens for week-long Cyclades trips, typically out of Athens and back, with stops such as Kythnos, Serifos, Antiparos and Milos. Ask us about BLACK LION.
What a Perini Navi charter costs
The eight split into two price bands. The four under 155 feet start from €24,000 per week (MALIZIA) up to €105,000 per week (TAMARITA). The four 50 metre and bigger yachts start from €176,000 to €210,000 per week, and their high-season rates reach €230,000 per week (SPIRIT OF THE C’S). All eight charter on plus-expenses terms: on top of the rate you pay an advance provisioning allowance (APA), a deposit that covers running costs such as fuel, food and marina fees. The listings set it at 30% (JASALI II, BARACUDA VALLETTA) or 35% (MALIZIA, HERITAGE M, ELLEN, TAMARITA). The estimate tables on SPIRIT OF THE C’S and XASTERIA use 35%. With APA added, the upfront payment for a week starts at about €32,400 per week on MALIZIA, €141,750 per week on TAMARITA, €253,500 per week on JASALI II and €283,500 per week on SPIRIT OF THE C’S, before VAT and crew tips. BARACUDA VALLETTA’s listing gives 5.2% VAT for Greece, and JASALI II’s and MALIZIA’s say plus VAT; we confirm VAT for your route. Among the four big ones, XASTERIA has the lowest starting rate and lists 12 guests.

A sample week: Corsica and Sardinia on BARACUDA VALLETTA
This is a seven-night route from our Corsica and Sardinia itinerary page, shown here on BARACUDA VALLETTA, a 164 foot Perini Navi for 10 guests in 5 cabins whose listing names Corsica among her cruising areas and Italy – Sardinia in its description. It is guidance, not a fixed schedule, and it can be tailored to your wishes.
- Day 1: Bonifacio. Marina de Bonifacio sits at the southern point of Corsica; the Old Town on the hill looks over the marina and the straits between Bonifacio and Sardinia.
- Day 2: Bonifacio to Budelli. Budelli is the island of pink beaches; the beach is protected and you may not enter the buoyed area, while the south side is good for anchoring and snorkelling.
- Day 3: Budelli to La Maddalena, the biggest island of the archipelago, with shops, markets and restaurants in the main port. A sheltered beach nearby serves for the night anchorage.
- Day 4: La Maddalena to Porto Palma, a well-sheltered bay for water sports and a place to shelter from the Mistral.
- Day 5: Porto Palma to Tahiti beach on Caprera, the locals’ favourite beach, with clear water for snorkelling and diving.
- Day 6: Tahiti beach to Cala di Volpe, where many of the biggest superyachts in the Mediterranean meet; the hotel on the north side serves lunch and dinner.
- Day 7: Cala di Volpe to Tavolara, east of Olbia, as the last-night stop, for water skiing, wakeboarding, diving, snorkelling and hiking.
On the eighth morning you disembark at Olbia Marina, five minutes from Olbia Airport.
