Abeking & Rasmussen is a German shipyard founded in 1907 by Georg Abeking and Henry Rasmussen at Lemwerder, on the River Weser near Bremen. It builds naval and special vessels as well as yachts.
We list four A&R yachts. The countdown below runs from #4, the smallest, up to #1, the biggest, ranked by listed length: GAEL I at 76 feet, Lady Jersey at 118 feet, VERA at 171 feet and AMARYLLIS at 258 feet. 4. GAEL I
“A 1962 Classic for Six Guests”
GAEL I is a 76 foot (23.2 m) classic sailing yacht built by Abeking & Rasmussen in 1962 and refitted in 2022. She takes 6 guests in 3 cabins, and her listing points to her wood interiors and open deck space. Her listing names a crew of four, led by a captain with a background in classic yacht racing.
She spends summer on the French Riviera, in Corsica, the Balearics and southern Italy. Her listing’s current season table gives €25,000 per week from July to September 2026 and €21,000 per week for October 2026 and May to June 2027, plus 30% APA and VAT (20% in France, 21% in Spain). One week is the minimum, with five days on request. Her listing describes her as ideal for authentic sailing enthusiasts, cruising at 8 knots.
3. Lady Jersey
“A 1956 Motor Yacht for the Western Mediterranean”
Lady Jersey is a 117.5 foot (35.8 m) Abeking & Rasmussen motor yacht built in 1956 and refitted in 2017. She takes 12 guests in 5 cabins: four doubles and a twin, plus a Pullman berth.
Her listing names Italy, Corsica, Provence and the French Riviera as cruising areas, and gives 10 knots cruising. It gives rates from €52,000 to €54,000 per week, plus 35% APA, without season dates, so ask us which applies to your week.
2. VERA
“Three Outdoor Decks and a Private Jacuzzi Area”
VERA is a 170.6 foot (52 m) Abeking & Rasmussen motor yacht built in 2000 and refitted in 2024. She takes 12 guests in 6 cabins: a master, two VIP cabins and three doubles that convert to twins. Her three outdoor decks have al fresco dining, a lounge and sunbathing area, and a private Jacuzzi area, and there is a gym on the lower deck with a treadmill, a bike and a rowing machine.
Stabilisers keep her steady underway. Her listing names a crew of 10. She cruises Greece, the French Riviera, Corsica, Italy, Croatia, Montenegro and Turkey. From 16 September to the end of 2026 her listing gives €210,000 per week, plus 30% APA; her 2026 summer rate, from 15 June to 15 September, was €235,000 per week. 1. AMARYLLIS
“A Five Metre Pool and a Beach Club Spa”
AMARYLLIS is a 257.5 foot (78.5 m) Abeking & Rasmussen motor yacht, delivered in November 2011 and designed by Reymond Langton. Her original design was inspired by the Belle Epoque, Art Nouveau and Art Deco, and a 2026 refit redesigned the interior with Studio Vafiadis. Her listing gives 12 guests plus 5 supernumeraries across seven cabins, including an owner’s suite with a private terrace, with a crew of 23.
The sun deck has a five metre pool that changes colour. Aft, a beach club with a gym, spa and sauna opens straight onto the swim platform, and there is a private cinema and a lounge with a grand piano. Zero-speed stabilisers steady her at anchor. APA is an advance for fuel, food, berths and other running costs, settled against what is actually spent. The listings give it as 30% of the fee for GAEL I and VERA, and 35% for Lady Jersey and AMARYLLIS. Gratuity is at the charterer’s discretion. We confirm VAT for your itinerary.
