Captain Giacomo “Jack” Russon Born and raised in Italy, Captain Giacomo “Jack” Russo has always been drawn to the sea, adventure, and meeting people from around the world. Known as “Captain Jack” for easier communication onboard, he brings an easygoing, social, and professional presence to every charter. Over the past several years, sailing has taken him from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean and French Polynesia, where he has worked as both a captain and sailing instructor. His experience has given him a strong understanding of changing conditions, thoughtful planning, and the balance between structure and spontaneity that makes each day on the water feel effortless. Giacomo enjoys helping guests make the most of their time onboard, whether that means finding the right anchorage, encouraging them to get involved under sail, or simply giving them the space to relax and enjoy the journey. His calm approach and attention to safety allow guests to feel comfortable and well looked after from the moment they step aboard. Before building his sailing career, Giacomo gained experience in five-star hospitality, where he developed an appreciation for attentive service and the small details that make a guest experience feel special. He carries that same mindset into chartering, combining relaxed confidence with professionalism and care. Outside of sailing, Giacomo enjoys traveling, sports, music, reading, and discovering new places. He holds an RYA Yachtmaster Commercial Endorsement, ASA Instructor certification, and PADI Advanced Open Water certification.
