by Klara Braga Jakobsen, Yacht Reviewer at DMA Yachting
We walked the charter fleet at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2026. These are the seven yachts we would put a client on, and who each one suits.
Ten of us went: brokers, the founders and the review team. We had a stand on the dock, shared with YPI Crew, and clients came to meet us there and walked the boats with us.
Monaco is the one show where the biggest charter yachts are all in one harbour for four days. We go to board them, meet the crews, and check the things a brochure cannot show: how a boat is run, how the cabins actually sleep, where the galley sits. That is what a client gets when they ask us which yacht to take. It is not a list; it is a boat we have stood on.
Which charter yachts stood out at Monaco 2026?
CHRISTINA O, 99 m, 34 guests. Seeing her anchored off Monaco is not something we will forget. She was built as a ship rather than as a yacht, and you feel it in every space. The dining room seats a big group at one sitting. Who she suits: event groups that no other yacht in the Mediterranean can take. We wrote her up in full after the show: our CHRISTINA O review.
SILVER FOX, 72 m, 12 guests. Her beach club is the best we have seen. The pool sits directly above it, so the ceiling is water. Around it are a gym, a massage room, a steam room, a sauna and an ice bath. Who she suits: groups who want wellness and sport, with a floodlit bow court for football after dark.
ANGELIQUE, 87 m, 12 guests. A wellness boat before she is anything else. Her H2 interior is white with blue and turquoise, bright and cool rather than warm wood. Who she suits: guests who want a new build, delivered in 2026, built around health.
AFTER YOU, 55 m, 12 guests. Just out of eleven months of yard work, and she looks it. The master is full beam with a private study, and the sun deck is given over to a gym, massage room, sauna and steam room. Who she suits: a couple-led group that wants the best master cabin in this size.
WABASH, 40 m, 12 guests. She looks brand new on the water, and inside she is: a 2026 refit took a 2018 Benetti and gave her a light, minimalist interior of pale marble and wood, with the clean lines you rarely get at 40 m. We came alongside by tender and stepped straight onto the beach deck. What stood out to us is the sun deck: a long bar, two big tables, a barbecue and a jacuzzi ringed with sunbeds, so ask the crew for a barbecue night up there. The master is the other surprise: walk-in closets, a makeup station and a his-and-hers en suite with its own hot tub. Who she suits: a group who want a yacht that feels new and plan to live outdoors, with a sauna, a massage room and a gym for the mornings after.
BATELLO, 80 m, 12 guests. Her crew run her as a venue: yoga mornings, sports on the net, cinema, a sun deck set up for six massages side by side. Her elevator serves every deck below the sun deck. Who she suits: events, and any group with a guest who uses a wheelchair.
GALAXY, 56 m, 12 guests. She picks a theme and commits to it: space, by way of Avatar, with star-field ceilings and a DJ set up in the main saloon. Who she suits: a group who would rather have an opinion than beige. Ask early about her dates.
What did the show say about charter in 2027?
Wellness is now the brief. Three of our seven are built around a gym, spa and ice bath, and the newest builds put the beach club at the center of the boat. The other thing the show confirmed is that the biggest yachts are selling the group, not the cabin: Christina O and Batello are booked as venues for a whole party.
