Motor Yacht Taka is one of the most interesting yachts I saw at the Poros yacht show. Totally unique: Built in 1976, she has a classic 70s style—wood, tiles, retro color scheme, funky art, and a crew of 5 that’s been together forever. Captain Zafiris Mammis has been onboard 25 years, and it shows. Big plus: fully set up for mobility needs. Chairlift, proper tender, and real hands-on experience helping disabled guests. That makes a huge difference. Great for an older couple or anyone into vintage style and serious service.

m/y TAKA comfortably accommodates up to nine (9) guests in four well-appointed cabins. The main deck features a spacious Master Cabin and a Single Cabin, both with ensuite facilities, along with a day head that includes a shower and can serve as a secondary bathroom for the Master. The lower deck offers two Twin Cabins, each with a Pullman berth and private ensuite. Accessibility is a key highlight, with an extra-large gangway and a chair lift to the sundeck, making the yacht particularly well-suited for guests with reduced mobility. For added convenience, there is also a day head on the sundeck (no shower).

Description: Captain Zafiris our experienced Captain, he brings 30 years of yachting expertise, holding a Master's diploma A and a sailing license. He has skillfully navigated all the Archipelago on various yachts, including a decade on board M/Y Taka and previously on S/Y Onyx (100ft). His profound knowledge of Greek waters and islands makes every voyage memorable. Captain Zafiris leads our crew with excellent skills in communication and quality control at every level, ensuring your safety and enjoyment throughout the journey. Fluent in English, he is a dedicated family man with two children.

Description: Kostas is Chief Engineer on m/y TAKA since 2007, he graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy and holds a 1st Engineer Diploma. Kostas oversees M/Y Taka’s every technical matter, main engines, auxiliary machinery, and repairs. His technical prowess is complemented by all certifications, including life-saving, firefighting, ship security, and tanker safety. During his free time, Kostas indulges in spearfishing, freediving, and mountain biking. He's a devoted husband, 45 years old, and dedicated to keeping m/y TAKA in prime condition.

Description: Chef Vangelis embarked on his culinary journey 14 years ago after completing his formal chef studies. He began his career as a cook, honing his skills at some of the finest restaurants and hotels in Athens. Over the years, he transitioned into the yachting industry, further refining his expertise. Chef Vangelis is well-versed in European, Mexican, and Peruvian cuisine, and is fluent in both English and Spanish. He is excited to be a part of the M/Y Taka team, where he looks forward to delighting guests with his exceptional culinary creations.
