Description: Originally from Miami, Florida, Captain Max grew up exploring the waters of the Treasure Coast and Florida Keys, where diving, spearfishing, offshore fishing, and life on the water sparked a lifelong passion for the sea. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology through Florida State University and Florida Atlantic University, later working with the USDA on aquaculture research and contributing to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill response.
In 2016, Max earned his USCG 100-Ton Captain’s License and STCW certification, launching a professional yachting career that has taken him throughout Florida, the Bahamas, the U.S. East Coast, the Great Lakes, and beyond.
Today, Max serves as Captain of M/Y Mambo, a vessel he knows exceptionally well after years of hands-on experience aboard. His progression with Mambo has included roles as First Mate, Engineer, and Relief Captain, giving him an in-depth understanding of the yacht’s systems, operations, maintenance, refits, and charter program.
Max has also captained and worked aboard multiple charter yachts throughout the Bahamas, developing extensive knowledge of the islands, cruising grounds, anchorages, fishing spots, dive sites, and secluded beaches. His cruising experience includes numerous vessel deliveries and the notable achievement of captaining the largest vessel to transit the western Erie Canal, navigating its locks, bridges, restricted clearances, and challenging waterways.
With a strong technical background, extensive cruising experience, and an adventurous spirit, Max is equally at home planning an action-packed day of fishing, diving, and exploration as he is creating a relaxed itinerary centered around quiet anchorages and pristine beaches. His combination of seamanship, local knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm for life on the water allows him to create highly personalized and memorable experiences for every guest aboard Mambo

Description: Liz has been in the hospitality industry for over 20 years and as a Florida native, she has always been around boating, fishing, and the beach; which is why yachting came so naturally to her. Liz provides top notch service to her guests and always makes sure everyone is happy and relaxed. Liz holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida, Silver Service course, a medical person in-charge certificate, STCW, and has attained her Sommelier level 1 course. Liz worked on MY Mambo for over 10 years and completed over 40 charters. Liz's attention to detail, excellent service, and great personality draw the guests back for repeat charters. In her free time, she enjoys the company of her family and friends, traveling, discovering new wineries/breweries, and running her mobile bar business. She looks forward to welcoming you onboard with one of her infamous “Liz-a-Ritas”; as affectionately coined by the guests.

Description: Born and raised in South Florida, Trent brings 12 years of hands-on yachting experience to Mambo. He has worked on vessels up to 150 feet and has held the captain’s seat on both a Sunseeker and a 55-foot Manhattan yacht. With deep local knowledge of Florida and Bahamian waters, Trent is a reliable, safety-focused first mate who knows these cruising grounds inside and out.
When he’s not on the water, you’ll find him smoking meats, competing on the pickleball court, or spending time with his wife and two kids.
