Scott Rhomberg | Captain (Rotational)
American
Captain Scott grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and found his love for the water while working as a marine mechanic at the Lake of the Ozarks. Knowing he wanted to explore larger waters, Scott transitioned into the yachting industry and took his first helm position on an 82’ Princess in 2014.
Scott enjoys being part of an industry where he gets to travel and meet different people. He enjoys adapting to each family and group he has on board, allowing his strong versatility and easy to adapt mindset lead him to accomplish successful charters time and time again.
Captain Scott has cruised the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Puerto Rico and Caribbean. He loves being able to experience places many people only see in magazines. By far his favorite experience in the industry has been working with his best friend who since, has become his wife.
Scott enjoys diving, fishing (though he’s better known for repairing things than catching fish!), and boating. He spends most of his free time on the water with his family.

Anna Hayden | Stewardess
American
Anna was born and raised in Salem, Massachusetts. She received a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UMass Amherst. Upon graduation she worked for two years as an Environmental Engineer at a consulting firm before trading in her hard hat and steel-toed boots for flip flops and sunnies. Since then, Anna has enjoyed life on the water. Her biggest challenge in the industry thus far was working as a solo stew onboard a busy 116’ charter vessel, Anna has learned how to juggle the needs of her guests as a one woman wonder, while still working as a team member with her crew. Her favorite aspect of charter is seeing the guests smile – whether from the beautiful cruising areas or when she cracks a joke.

Anna has enjoyed extensive travel but by far one of her greatest experiences has been taking a helicopter to a remote mountain range in Alaska and sleeping under the stars in a place that was likely never camped before.

In her time off, Anna enjoys skiing, hiking, beach days, crafting, film and photography.

Shannon Sanderson | Chef
American
Born and raised in Massachusetts, Shannon spent most of her life working in the hospitality and tourism industries on the New England coastal island of Martha’s Vineyard. Shannon’s grandmother spent 30 years working as a private chef and doing day sails down in Jamaica before she decided to call Martha’s Vineyard home in the early 70’s. At an early age, Shannon started following in her grandmother’s footsteps, spending summers cooking breakfast for guests of a family-friend’s bed & breakfast in their small town of Aquinnah. She then began to focus further on food service by working in front of the house operations in busy restaurants doing everything from bartending to waiting tables. However, her boss could never keep her out of the kitchen. One day, while working as a waitress, the head chef approached her and said, “You’re always in the kitchen. If you would rather work back here, just ask, and I will teach you everything you need to know.” So, that’s what she did! Through this restaurant experience Shannon discovered her true passion was in the kitchens of these fine restaurants where she continued to apprentice under several great chefs. Shannon soon turned this experience into her career and learned that she could combine her love of travel and cooking, by working as a chef on board yachts. She started as a stewardess & crew chef on large motor yachts, always pushing her way deeper into the galley, absorbing as much as possible. Now, Shannon has spent 3 years as a full-time yacht chef, traveling the world. Her smallest boat was a 45 foot Catamaran, and the largest has been an 80m mega yacht.

After her first job on a large sailing yacht- she realized she had more than just a passion for cooking & for the sea, but also for sailing. With a few Caribbean seasons and an Atlantic crossing under her belt - she set out to sail across the Pacific Ocean as the chef on a 37m sailing yacht. Starting from Antigua, and ending in Australia, she spent a season in French Polynesia which will forever have a huge space in her heart. While here she was taught to make their local tuna ceviche, called Poisson Cru, made with fresh coconut milk, a favorite of hers to this day. Shannon’s favorite cuisine to make is Italian and she recently studied authentic Italian cuisine in Italy.

In her free time, she’s learning to speak Italian. Her next culinary adventure is to perfect her Asian cuisine by doing a course specialized for yacht chefs in Thailand. She hopes to one day own a restaurant somewhere tropical that features local dishes from the places she’s traveled to.
