For Jorge, one of the greatest pleasures of being a captain is sharing the beauty of cruising with guests while ensuring that every journey is safe, smooth, and enjoyable. Description: Chef Alfredo brings extensive culinary and yachting experience to ALEGRIA, along with a genuine love of creating memorable dining experiences at sea. Born in Zamora, Michoacán, Mexico, he earned his degree in Culinary Arts in Cancún and began his professional career in a French restaurant before entering the yachting industry in 2010.
Over the years, Alfredo has worked aboard a variety of yachts, including spending 12 years aboard a 126-foot Sanlorenzo. This long-term experience has helped him develop an adaptable and guest-focused approach to cooking, allowing him to respond thoughtfully to different tastes, dietary preferences, and styles of dining.
What Alfredo enjoys most is seeing guests feel comfortable and happy on board while enjoying the meals he creates. He believes that great yacht cuisine is not only about flavor and presentation, but also about understanding each guest and helping make every day of the charter feel special.
His travels have taken him to many beautiful destinations, including Monaco, Bonifacio, St. Barths, the Dominican Republic, and Miami. He encourages guests to make the most of every moment at sea—from beautiful sunsets and days on the water to the attentive service offered by the crew.

Description: Edson brings a strong combination of engineering expertise, deck experience, and genuine hospitality to ALEGRIA. He has worked for more than 15 years at sea, including 12 years aboard commercial vessels and three years aboard private and charter yachts.
Throughout his career, Edson has served in a variety of technical roles, including Chief Engineer, Second Engineer, Sole Engineer, and Deck/Engineer. His responsibilities have included the operation, maintenance, and care of onboard machinery, as well as supporting exterior maintenance and deck operations.
One of Edson’s proudest professional achievements was taking responsibility as Chief Engineer during an extensive shipyard period aboard a 47-meter yacht. During this time, he led preventive and corrective maintenance projects while helping ensure the yacht remained safe, compliant, and operationally prepared.
Despite his technical background, what Edson enjoys most is the people. He values creating memorable experiences for guests and crew and believes that excellent hospitality begins with patience, attention, and anticipating what guests may need before they ask.
His favorite cruising destination is the French coast, where he enjoys the combination of beautiful scenery, exceptional cuisine, culture, and history. On ALEGRIA, his favorite area is the sundeck, with its panoramic views, Jacuzzi, and inviting spaces for both relaxation and entertainment.
