For Jorge, one of the greatest pleasures of being a captain is sharing the beauty of cruising with guests while ensuring that every journey is safe, smooth, and enjoyable. He takes pride in offering thoughtful recommendations and presenting guests with a variety of options so that each charter can be tailored to their interests and preferences.
Among his favorite cruising destinations are the Exumas and the Dominican Republic, where breathtaking scenery, beautiful waters, and memorable experiences await around every corner. Description: Chef Alfredo brings extensive culinary and yachting experience to ALEGRIA, along with a genuine love of creating memorable dining experiences at sea. Born in Zamora, Michoacán, Mexico, he earned his degree in Culinary Arts in Cancún and began his professional career in a French restaurant before entering the yachting industry in 2010.
Over the years, Alfredo has worked aboard a variety of yachts, including spending 12 years aboard a 126-foot Sanlorenzo. This long-term experience has helped him develop an adaptable and guest-focused approach to cooking, allowing him to respond thoughtfully to different tastes, dietary preferences, and styles of dining.
What Alfredo enjoys most is seeing guests feel comfortable and happy on board while enjoying the meals he creates. He believes that great yacht cuisine is not only about flavor and presentation, but also about understanding each guest and helping make every day of the charter feel special.
His travels have taken him to many beautiful destinations, including Monaco, Bonifacio, St. Barths, the Dominican Republic, and Miami. He encourages guests to make the most of every moment at sea—from beautiful sunsets and days on the water to the attentive service offered by the crew.

Description: Edson brings a strong combination of engineering expertise, deck experience, and genuine hospitality to ALEGRIA. He has worked for more than 15 years at sea, including 12 years aboard commercial vessels and three years aboard private and charter yachts.
Throughout his career, Edson has served in a variety of technical roles, including Chief Engineer, Second Engineer, Sole Engineer, and Deck/Engineer. His responsibilities have included the operation, maintenance, and care of onboard machinery, as well as supporting exterior maintenance and deck operations.
One of Edson’s proudest professional achievements was taking responsibility as Chief Engineer during an extensive shipyard period aboard a 47-meter yacht. During this time, he led preventive and corrective maintenance projects while helping ensure the yacht remained safe, compliant, and operationally prepared.
Despite his technical background, what Edson enjoys most is the people. He values creating memorable experiences for guests and crew and believes that excellent hospitality begins with patience, attention, and anticipating what guests may need before they ask.
His favorite cruising destination is the French coast, where he enjoys the combination of beautiful scenery, exceptional cuisine, culture, and history. On ALEGRIA, his favorite area is the sundeck, with its panoramic views, Jacuzzi, and inviting spaces for both relaxation and entertainment.

Description: Jimena is an experienced Chief Stewardess with more than five years aboard private and charter yachts ranging from 27 to 50 meters. With a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a genuine passion for luxury hospitality, she brings warmth, organization, and an intuitive understanding of guest care to ALEGRIA.
She takes great pride in creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where every detail feels effortless. From thoughtful table settings and personalized service to anticipating a guest’s preferences before they need to ask, Jimena’s goal is to make every charter feel special, comfortable, and entirely personal.
Her favorite cruising destinations include the Bahamas and the Balearic Islands. She loves the turquoise waters, white-sand beaches, and marine life of the Bahamas, as well as the hidden coves, coastal villages, beach clubs, and Mediterranean charm of the Balearics.
Jimena’s favorite space aboard ALEGRIA is the flybridge. With its Jacuzzi, bar, dining area, and comfortable sun loungers, she considers it the perfect setting for leisurely lunches, sunset cocktails, and memorable moments with family and friends.

Description: Maria Jose is a highly qualified maritime professional with experience across both commercial shipping and luxury yachting. An Officer of the Watch Unlimited, she has steadily progressed through a wide range of deck and bridge positions, including Deckhand, Lead Deckhand, Bosun, Third Officer, Mate, and Chief Officer.
Her career has taken her across the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, the Atlantic, the Pacific coast of Mexico, Brazil, Canada, and beyond. This broad international experience has given her a strong foundation in navigation, safety, seamanship, tender operations, and guest activities.
Maria Jose is known for being proactive, dependable, respectful, and calm under pressure. She enjoys contributing wherever she is needed and believes that strong teamwork is essential to creating a safe, seamless, and enjoyable experience on board. Having previously worked aboard ALEGRIA, she brings valuable familiarity with the yacht along with a deep commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service and safety.
Currently working toward her Chief Officer qualification, Maria Jose is passionate about continuing to grow as a maritime professional while supporting both her captain and fellow crew members.
Outside of yachting, she enjoys fitness, yoga, sailing, cycling, rollerblading, aerial silks, and spending time outdoors. She is also a lifelong pianist and an animal lover who enjoys dog agility training. Her energy, versatility, and positive approach make her a welcoming and capable member of the ALEGRIA team.
