Description: Daniele De Angelis joins M/Y VELES as Captain, bringing with him over a decade of hands-on experience in the nautical sector and a strong command of high-performance motor yachts. Born in 1987 and raised in Liguria, he developed an early passion for the sea which led him to graduate from the Nautical Institute in Camogli before progressing through the ranks of technical service, charter, and command.
Since 2023, Daniele has been at the helm of VELES, a Pershing 70’, where he oversees all aspects of vessel management, guest operations, and crew coordination, with a focus on delivering smooth and dynamic cruising experiences throughout the Mediterranean. Prior to this, he captained M/Y SKYFALL, a Riva Rivale 52’ based in Portofino, following several seasons working with a strong local charter player in the same area, operating a range of high-performance tenders and open yachts.
Daniele holds the RYA/MCA Yachtmaster 200GT with commercial endorsement and is currently completing his MCA Master 200GT/OOW 500GT certification. His qualifications also include GMDSS GOC, STCW Basic Training, HELM Operational, First Aid, Fire Prevention, and Survival and Rescue training, along with both Italian and Slovenian unlimited navigation licences (motor and sail).
Meticulous, technically skilled, and composed, Daniele brings a proactive approach to yacht management and guest care, backed by in-depth knowledge of Ligurian and Tyrrhenian cruising grounds. A passionate surfer, he maintains a deep connection to the sea even off duty, balancing professional rigour with an active, outdoor lifestyle.

Description: Stefania Cirillo joins M/Y VELES as Stewardess/Cook, bringing several seasons of yachting experience in dual interior and galley roles, mainly on motor yachts operating along the Ligurian coast. Italian and born in 1994, she is based in Santa Margherita Ligure and speaks English at a good working level, with basic French.
Her background includes repeated roles as Stewardess/Cook on yachts ranging from approximately 56 ft to 74 ft, including M/Y BIBI, M/Y ING, M/Y ALTER EGO, M/Y DABLIU, M/Y STAY MINE and M/Y MISTER MAGIC. These positions have given her practical experience in guest service, housekeeping, provisioning, menu planning and day to day meal preparation on board.
Stefania also brings experience from ashore, having worked as Breakfast Chef in Portofino and in restaurant settings in Santa Margherita Ligure. Her training as a Catering and Hotel Services Technician further supports her combined role, with a practical understanding of food preparation, service standards and kitchen organisation.
She holds STCW certification and has an additional background as an emergency medical technician, adding to her calm and responsible approach on board.
