MISS SUMMER yacht is a 45.00 ft long sailboat catamaran and spends the summer season in Caribbean Virgin Islands (BVI) and winter season in Caribbean Virgin Islands (BVI). It was built by Lagoon in 2014. A refit was done in 2020 & 2023. The yacht layout features 3 cabins and accommodates 6 guests. The cabin arrangement is following: 3 queen cabins.

Crew Information

Captain: Per Skogsberg

Per, also called "Captain Swede", has traded the cold and dark waters of Sweden to the wonderful waters of the Virgin Islands and other Caribbean islands. He is the captain on board Miss Summer.
Lina has a more pronounce friendly name and is simply called Lina. She will be your chef on board Miss Summer, and stand-in captain if needed. Lina is a certified yacht chef, trained at Ashburton Chefs Academy in UK, and she will do her very best to give all guests a nice food experience.

They are both social persons and love to meet new people.
Lina started sailing during childhood, and Per got hocked when they started sailing together over 15 years ago. They first came to the Caribbean in 2015. Together they have had the pleasure to sail the Caribbean waters up and down, but mainly been sailing in the British Virgin Island. Which since 2019 is their home base. Per and Lina bought Miss Summer in May 2019 and has since then been doing crewed charter in BVI.
They will gladly guide you through the islands and take you to the places on your bucket list and to all the other beautiful places you didn't know about. On board they will give you a touch of Scandinavia while you are sailing the Caribbean waters.

Before transitioning into this profession Per worked as a business developer for many years and as a business coach with early startups. Lina has a science in engineering degree and has run a project management and consultancy company for more than 15 years.
Both are certified captains and will at all times put your safety on board first! However, that has never made them fail in giving their guests a wonderful and memorable charter.

Together they hold the following certifications and have passed tests and/or training for:
• Coastal Yacht Master
• Inshore Yacht Master
• Practical boat training incl. darkness diploma
• BVI boat master
• Yacht chef certificate, Ashburton Chefs Academy
• STCW – basic safety. Including Personal Safety, Fire, Survival and First Aid.

Breakfast

A mix between buffet and served breakfast that comes with Tea, Coffee & Juice:

Seafood stew with shrimps, mussels, mahi cooked with fennel, garlic and chili in white wine and tomato

Thai Chicken Curry in coconut milk, with vegetables, lime, fresh cilantro and rice

Dessert (or afternoon Swedish “fika”)

Sticky chocolate cake with cream and berry coulis

Warm apple tart with creamy vanilla souse

The week we spent on the Miss Summer was the trip of a lifetime. Lina and Per were amazing hosts with an impeccable boat. They were professional, welcoming, informative and made the trip unforgettable. Lina’s food was fabulous and I still can’t believe she can produce such tasty and beautifully presented food in such a small galley, she is truly talented. She also makes an amazing Pain killer! I would recommend utilizing the private water taxi to get to them vs. the ferry from St Thomas which was both late and a little scary plus they clear customs for you. Thank you again guys for making my 50th birthday trip unforgettable

Swimming with the sea turtles and snorkeling the sea caves.

I don't think I can say enough good things about our experience. We met Lina & Per just outside of Tortola pier park for a private day sailing with a party of 12, including some children as young as 4. Lina & Per were/are super friendly and accommodating. They provided a delicious light lunch, snacks, and lots of different beverages. The Painkiller drinks for adults were really tasty. The provided snorkel gear looked brand new, and was top quality equipment. The boat was also looked brand new, was very nice, and had plenty of space. We saw lots of turtles, corals, tropical fish, and sea caves. Lina & Per gave us a perfect day of snorkeling and fun. Skip the other cruise ship excursions (we arrived on Norwegian) and book with Lina and Per!

A memory for life

We went on a private tour to the Baths. Over all a super nice experience.
The "stone caves" at the Baths was fun to explore and we also made a stop on the way at Cooper Island, to do some snorkeling.
We brought our own snorkeling gear, but the snorkels and fins offered on the boat was good.
The boat was really nice. Thumbs up for the food and drinks.
We can highly recommend going with captain Swede and Lina, they made this tour fantastic, thank you!

The Best in the BVI!

Lina and Per welcomed us on a day adventure, escaping the world and rejuvenated our bodies and minds with what is important about life. This is THE private charter to take in the BVI. The boat is beautiful, they took us to the best places for snorkeling and fun. Lina made us a scrumptious lunch and Per was full of stories and information. Try Lina’s sticky cake (Swedish Name?) and the their home made pain killer with extra nutmeg! Lina and Per bring a Scandinavian flair and experience to your BVI holiday. We’ll be back – not for a day – BUT for a week!!!! Thanks for the memories, talks and ideas…. Until next time

He is the captain on board Miss Summer.<br /> Lina has a more pronounce friendly name and is simply called Lina. She will be your chef on board Miss Summer, and stand-in captain if needed. Lina is a certified yacht chef, trained at Ashburton Chefs Academy in UK, and she will do her very best to give all guests a nice food experience.<br /> <br /> They are both social persons and love to meet new people.<br /> Lina started sailing during childhood, and Per got hocked when they started sailing together over 15 years ago. They first came to the Caribbean in 2015. Together they have had the pleasure to sail the Caribbean waters up and down, but mainly been sailing in the British Virgin Island. Which since 2019 is their home base. Per and Lina bought Miss Summer in May 2019 and has since then been doing crewed charter in BVI.<br /> They will gladly guide you through the islands and take you to the places on your bucket list and to all the other beautiful places you didn't know about. On board they will give you a touch of Scandinavia while you are sailing the Caribbean waters.<br /> <br /> Before transitioning into this profession Per worked as a business developer for many years and as a business coach with early startups. Lina has a science in engineering degree and has run a project management and consultancy company for more than 15 years.<br /> Both are certified captains and will at all times put your safety on board first! We met Lina & Per just outside of Tortola pier park for a private day sailing with a party of 12, including some children as young as 4. Lina & Per were/are super friendly and accommodating. They provided a delicious light lunch, snacks, and lots of different beverages. The Painkiller drinks for adults were really tasty. The provided snorkel gear looked brand new, and was top quality equipment. The boat was also looked brand new, was very nice, and had plenty of space. We saw lots of turtles, corals, tropical fish, and sea caves. Lina & Per gave us a perfect day of snorkeling and fun. Skip the other cruise ship excursions (we arrived on Norwegian) and book with Lina and Per!</div><div class='clr'></div> </div> <div class='bs-example'> <div class="yacht_rev"> A memory for life</div><div class='clr'></div><div style='text-align:left;'>We went on a private tour to the Baths. This is THE private charter to take in the BVI. The boat is beautiful, they took us to the best places for snorkeling and fun. Lina made us a scrumptious lunch and Per was full of stories and information. Try Lina’s sticky cake (Swedish Name?) and the their home made pain killer with extra nutmeg!
