Reviews
The Boat
The Amajen was a dream come true. As a newer, modern yacht, it felt luxurious yet inviting. The design was thoughtfully laid out with plenty of spaces to relax, both while sailing and while anchored.
Fly Deck:
The flybridge was our favorite spot. Perched on the highest part of the boat, it had exceptionally comfortable seating and offered spectacular views of the turquoise waters and islands. Whether enjoying a sunrise coffee or sunset cocktails, it became our go-to space to unwind.
Loungers and Tables:
Up front, there were terrific loungers and a dining area that let us relax and enjoy the sea breeze while we cruised.
Master Bedroom Suite:
The master suite was incredible—a spacious retreat with its own private staircase leading to the back of the boat. It featured a large bed, a vanity perfect for getting ready, plenty of storage for all our belongings, and a layout that felt more like a boutique hotel than a boat cabin.
Water Toys:
The Amajen was packed with toys that thrilled both kids and adults. We had fun paddle boarding, tubing, snorkeling, and even using motorized aqua scooters, which were a hit. For those interested in scuba diving, they had top-notch gear available. The dinghy also became an adventure in itself—it was fast, fun, and perfect for exploring hidden coves.
The Crew
Captain Jaden and First Mate/Cook Anita were outstanding. They were warm, professional, and created an environment that felt relaxed and personal.
Jaden took the time to teach me some sailing basics, which was a fascinating and unexpected highlight. He clearly loves what he does and was happy to share his knowledge.
Anita prepared exceptional meals throughout the trip, catering thoughtfully to both adult and kid-friendly palates. Our family loves good food, and she delivered with creativity and care. Her painkiller cocktails quickly became a favorite!
Both Jaden and Anita were incredibly attentive to our preferences. From planning daily activities to adjusting meals for our kids’ tastes, they made everything feel effortless.
The Adventures:
Each day brought a new adventure. Jaden and Anita were very open to tailoring the itinerary based on what we wanted to do, and their flexibility made the trip feel even more special. Highlights included:
Water Activities:
We loved swimming and snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, paddle boarding along serene coastlines, and tubing behind the dinghy. The aqua scooters were a unique thrill, allowing us to explore reefs with ease.
New Year’s Celebration:
New Year’s Eve was unforgettable. Anita and Jaden went above and beyond to create a magical evening. They decorated the boat with string lights, prepared a special dinner, and anchored us near Virgin Gorda. From there, we watched a spectacular fireworks display and a mesmerizing drone show. The ambiance, paired with their thoughtful touches, made the evening truly special.
Overall Experience
Our trip aboard the Amajen exceeded every expectation. It was a perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and quality family time. The boat itself was beautiful and well-equipped, the crew was exceptional, and the Virgin Islands provided a stunning backdrop for our vacation.
If you’re considering a charter in this region, I can’t recommend the Amajen, Captain Jaden, and First Mate Anita highly enough. They made us feel like guests, not just passengers, and helped create memories we’ll cherish forever. Whether you’re new to yachting or seasoned pros, this experience is one you’ll treasure.
We’re already dreaming of our next trip!
