Goran is knowledgeable, capable, certain when he needs to be and curious when he can be. His expertise, and drive to both understand and accommodate our ever evolving wishes for the trip made a tremendous difference in our total experience.
Alex's cuisine was exceptional and felt custom tailored to us. I have no idea how she gets that done in the galley of a small yacht. She was also great company on the boat, patient, curious, and sensitive to the varied needs of our group.
They work together really well, and left us feeling like we got to know some great humans.

The booking, organization, and logistical process went very well also - thank you and your colleagues for that. The boat was very clean, appointed as advertised, and suited our needs for the week well.

Good morning all -

Where can we put a 6th star? I honestly cannot say enough good things about our trip on board with Goran and Alex. We had the best time, it was fantastic! Truly the trip of a lifetime. Our friends say I have set the bar very high with this one!

Goran and Alex - LOVED them. Their teamwork is like a well choreographed dance and it's obvious they actually like and respect each other. Nothing either one of them wouldn't do for us, if we asked or even before we could ask! It was a pleasure to have them with us for this trip. Loved talking to them and getting to know a little bit about where they came from and how they ended up in the BVI's. We'd go again tomorrow if we could.

Goran was an excellent captain, focused & conscientious. Fun & funny too! Every day he'd study the weather patterns to ensure our next days sail would be safe and comfortable. He also went out of his way to get us to the Baths when the seas & cruise ship schedule weren't that favorable by docking later in the day in Spanish Town, arranging transportation to the park and then guiding us through the Baths - it was unexpected and quite wonderful to have his knowledge and guidance on this adventure. We had them come with us at several stops and I think we all had a blast! And we didn't just motor everywhere, they hoisted the sails and we got to experience that special quietness as well, nothing like it. Every stop and/or overnight spot was awesome - we were in quiet, calm bays, with just a few 'neighbors' where we could swim, float or just stare at the stars. It wasn't just A-B-C-D, check, check, check - It was a thoughtful itinerary developed by Alex & Goran to immerse us in this little corner of paradise, and it worked. He was also a great room steward!

Alex, man that girl can cook! Not a bad meal, snack or cocktail the entire trip. She took our preference sheet to heart and fed us spectacularly at every seating. Every meal also included a vegetarian option as well, very much appreciated (and gobbled up) by all. She made so many things from scratch - sourdough bread, hamburger buns & pasta, to name a few - it was incredible! She spoiled us with all the seafood we could eat plus favorites from hers & Goran's family traditions & customs, it was very special. She has the work ethic of a person twice her age & a 'nothing is too much' attitude. She is refreshing and amazing. Damn good sailor too!

Exceeded our expectations

This was our first charter experience so we were not sure what to expect but it definitely exceeded our expectations.

The crew:
Alex & Goran were spectacular. Safe, conscientious, easy to be around and felt like part of the family after just a couple of days. They gave us plenty of space if we needed, but were always there for anything we needed to make our trip that much more special. Goran is a knowledgeable and safe captain and took time to explain any questions we had. He was great with the teenagers, and entertained them throughout the week in the dingy doing water sports. He also made some pretty good cocktails!!
Alex was awesome helping us plan daily excursions as we stayed very active. She was resourceful and had great ideas of experiencing things to do! But, she also is an AMAZING chef. We had the most incredible meals and it was one of the highlights of the trip. Timely, healthy, supported all of our special food requests, and great service and table setting for each meal. They are an amazing team and we loved experiencing BVI with them as our crew!

The food and drink aboard :
As I said above, the food was one of the highlights. Alex made the provisioning process super easy with special requests and she nailed every single meal. It is seriously one thing I think our kids will remember most of the trip! Ha! All of the kid and adult beverages we desired were available at any time and plenty of fresh brewed coffee each morning! We also enjoyed a daily Happy Hour with a special cocktail (and kid version) made by Alex & Goran. That was a Great touch.
Alex & Goran made our trip truly that much more special with their hospitality and care. It was apparent that they truly desired that we had the best time possible! It was definitely our favorite/best family trip we have experienced and our 3 teenagers had an absolute blast! Thank you so much and we look forward to our next experience together!

We had the BEST time on our trip!! Thank you so much for helping coordinate everything. Alex and Goran were amazing; with perfect hospitality, food, and endless activities for the boys. They went above and beyond!! The entire experience was incredbile. We made lifelong memories and cannot wait to go back!


We've been dreaming of this trip for years and we're delighted with the boat and the crew! Goran was the best of the best. He went above and beyond always. He guided us to the best spots, hidden and exciting, and was a pleasure to be with. We couldn't have asked for a better captain. Very respectable and made us feel safe at all times. Alex was a fabulous chef and host. She made everyone feel at home and so comfortable. Her cooking was fantastic and she was able to easily accomodate dietary restrictions. Experience was Amazing

My wife Mary & I just returned, along with another couple, longtime friends, from a crewed Marine Max charter on "A Yachta Fun" and the entire experience was amazing. We have been bareboat chartering in the BVI for over 30 years, and this was our 13 charter, but our first crewed charter. We had booked with Maggie Privat previously at Marine Max and as always the process was flawless. The boat was spotless and all systems worked as designed. My wife and I are 45 year marine industry professionals and have been boating together primarily on the Chesapeake since teenagers and know how much effort it takes to maintain a vessel to that level in that application. Captain Goran is a true professional in every sense of the word. It shows in the way he maintains the vessel and in the confident way that he operates it. He was able to make us relax which we rarely do onboard because we are usually operating the boat ourselves with the responsibility that goes along with it. Alexa our chef/mate was also amazing!
The food quality, presentation, variety and taste is as good as we had ever experienced. In our 10 day charter we ate on shore 3 times and at the end we commented that we wished we had eaten all meals on the boat! As lifetime boaters this was truly a wonderful vacation on a boat!

Best vacation of our lives in the BVI – just book it, you won’t regret it!
Our skipper Goran was incredible – he knew every hidden gem, the best timing, and how to show us the real BVI. And our chef/crew member Alex.
Her food was absolutely outstanding – hands-down the best we’ve ever had on the water....ALEX, ALEX, ALEX! Goran + Alex = the ultimate dream team. When we return (and we will!), we’ll be requesting both of them again. Thank you for the trip of a lifetime!
PS: Bring a fishing pole...Goran knows where the Tarpon are!!!

Exceptional crew

Exceptional crew made our first charter in the BVI incredible. Goran is knowledgeable, curious, accommodating and efficient. Alex’s cuisine was far better than should be possible from a yacht galley. They worked well together, were engaging, and never stopped asking about our wishes. Management and booking was also well done and efficient.
