SOMMER yacht is a 50.00 ft long sailboat catamaran and spends the summer season in Caribbean Virgin Islands (US/BVI), Caribbean Leewards, Caribbean Virgin Islands (US), Caribbean Virgin Islands (BVI) and winter season in Caribbean Virgin Islands (US/BVI), Caribbean Leewards, Caribbean Virgin Islands (US), Caribbean Virgin Islands (BVI). It was built by Leopard in 2022. The yacht layout features 3 cabins and accommodates 6 guests. The cabin arrangement is following: 3 queen cabins.
The sailboat features 2 Yanmar 4JH80 engines | 1 11KW Kohler generator engines and a generator.

For 6 night charters, divide weekly rate by 7 nights X 6 nights. For 5 nights or less, divide weekly rate by 6 nights X number of nights.
SLEEP ABOARD: Available for half of the daily rate. Includes boarding after 4pm, snacks, welcome cocktails & continental breakfast. Dinner ashore is additional. Select option upon booking. EXCLUDES: Christmas and New Year's weeks. No commission on sleep aboard.
ST. MARTIN CHARTERS:
$1,500 trip relocation fee (round trip) in addition to regular charter cost.

A lifelong boater with a deep passion for the sea, Brandon is the seasoned captain of Sommer, a stunning Leopard 50 sailing catamaran. With his expertise and love for adventure, he’s ready to transform your dream of a Virgin Islands charter into a life-changing journey—where every sail invokes the spirit of freedom, every horizon sparks wonder, and each day becomes an unforgettable adventure on the open water.
From cruising the crystal-clear waters of the Virgin Islands to sharing breathtaking Caribbean sunsets, Brandon’s passion for adventure, nature, and hospitality truly shines. With extensive experience sailing to 14 countries—covering the entire East Coast of the U.S. from Northern Maine to the Florida Keys, as well as Washington State up to Alaska and throughout most of the Caribbean—he invites you to discover hidden bays, pristine beaches, and the vibrant life beneath the waves.
Safety is always his top priority, but fun and exploration are never far behind! Whether it's snorkeling with sea life, exploring the sights from a paddleboard, swimming and hiking in the Baths on Virgin Gorda, or enjoying sundowners at serene locations, Captain Brandon is ready to make your luxury charter unforgettable. You might even catch him sharing a story or two at the helm as you island hop in the VI!
Chef Aiesha Shachove
Chef Aiesha was born and raised in the beautiful St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. She is a proud mother of two sons, JahFari (16) and Jabahri (19). Cooking has always been Aiesha's greatest passion. In 1998, she left St. Thomas to further her education, but as the years passed, she felt a deep, undeniable pull to return to her roots and pursue her true love for cooking. In 2018, she made the decision to move back home—a choice she considers the best she’s ever made.
Since her return, Aiesha has successfully launched her own business as a private chef, offering her culinary expertise to luxurious villas and yachts across the islands. Growing up in the Virgin Islands, the ocean was always a significant part of her life. Her father would often take her sailing through the many islands surrounding St. Thomas and the British Virgin Islands, instilling in her a lifelong love for the sea. Friends and family affectionately refer to her as a "mermaid" because of this connection to the ocean.
For Aiesha, combining her two greatest passions—cooking and the sea—has been nothing short of a dream come true. She believes wholeheartedly that when you love what you do, you never work a day in your life.

Breakfast Tacos - scrambled eggs topped w/black beans & avocado. Served on a warm tortilla topped with cheese & pico de gallo.
Avocado Toast – freshly smashed avocado on multigrain toast, served with a side of fresh tomato slices on a bed of greens and your choice of sausage or bacon.

Grilled Chicken, Grilled Salmon, or Grilled Shrimp Salad - served on a bed of mixed greens, English cucumber, cherry tomatoes, red onion, and avocado. Drizzled with a homemade red wine citrus vinaigrette.
Cheeseburger Brioche - your choice of toppings on a toasted brioche bun. Served with a side salad and chips, or sweet potato crisps.

Nacho Supreme (ground beef or blackened chicken) - crispy nachos topped with cheese, pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole
Lettuce Wraps (shrimp or chicken) - glazed in sweet teriyaki sauce topped with toasted sesame seeds
Conch Fritters - deep-fried, drizzled with chef’s special sauce
Shrimp Cocktail - citrus-marinated steamed shrimp served with cocktail sauce
Garlic Cheese Bread - oven-baked French bread with homemade garlic butter topped with mozzarella

Seafood Paella - seasoned saffron rice with mussels, shrimp, scallops, & clams. Served with sweet fried plantains and a side salad with homemade vinaigrette.
Herb Roasted Chicken - marinated & baked in fresh herbs and spices. Served with seasoned rice, coleslaw, garlic green beans, or broccoli
Hawaiian BBQ Chicken - flame-broiled chicken basted in a homemade pineapple BBQ sauce. Served with corn on the cob and your choice of garlic mashed potatoes, pasta salad, or potato salad.
Pan-Seared Steak (cut varies) - served with choice of garlic mashed potatoes or lobster mac & cheese and choice of green beans or asparagus
Local Catch (catch of the day) Or Salmon - grilled or pan-seared (teriyaki, blackened, or butter lemon sauce). Served with local sweet potato and fungi (turned cornmeal with fresh okra).
Shrimp & Lobster Pasta - linguine pasta in a lemon butter sauce with fresh garlic, mushrooms, tri-color sweet peppers. Finished with heavy cream.
Crab Boil - snow crab legs, shrimp, mussels, clams, potatoes, corn, boiled egg (optional smoked sausage), steamed in a lemon garlic butter sauce and chef’s special 6-spice seasoning.
Vegetarian Tofu Bites - extra firm fried tofu nuggets (brown stew, curry, BBQ). Served with your choice of Caribbean rice and peas and sweet fried plantains.
Veggie Lasagna - 5-layer lasagna made with classic marinara, spinach, broccoli, and carrots. Topped with a 3-cheese medley and fresh herbs.
DESSERT

Well, we’ve cruised extensively all over the world. This was an experience and like any other. The intimacy and privacy of only one other couple and Brandon and Dow. Our crew was really special! The food was beyond delicious, huge portions, and lots of variety! Dad took pictures of all mills for our scrapbook and to share. Brandon was a great and safe Captain full of energy to accompany us as we explored! This is and felt like all owner excursions should provide a tour guide. If you wanted to swim, outcome all the toys if you wanted to get some exercise and explore, he knew every nook and clarity of each island. Both Dow and Brandon were engaging, but discreetly gave us as their guest time and space to ourselves. We always felt highly attended to, but not smothered definitel definitely 10 out of 10 all the way around.

Captain Brandon & Chef Aiesha were amazing right from our first trip planning call - to boarding the yacht - to every meal - every excursion - all the water toys - and especially in just being down to earth good people who fit perfectly with our family. Being on a 2022 50’ Catamaran with all the updated equipment, systems, plumbing, facilities, A/C and other comforts was awesome. The queen size beds were comfy and we all slept well at night. Between the time we spent on the front lounging areas, top deck and back deck we never once sat inside and didn’t even turn on the TV all week! My wife and I woke up to coffee on the top deck in a different secluded cove every morning and we couldn’t keep the kids out of the water all day. Captain Brandon navigated us into some great spots and Chef Aiesha was masterful for the kids who didn’t want seafood at every meal but also wow’d the rest of us who were eager to taste her island specialties.
It was an unbelievable 5 STAR vacation that created memories that will last a lifetime!

From the moment our family stepped on the vessel, Captain Brandon & Chef Aiesha made us feel at home. They were attentive to our needs and wants for meals, activities and ensuring our trip was full of lasting memories. The catamaran was clean, spacious from the point that there were many areas to enjoy the surrounding views and keep sight of my kids in the water, rays of sunshine, quiet spot for a good book and quiet and cool at night for a good rest.
We look forward to another opportunity to travel with Captain Brandon & Chef Aiesha with not only our family, but our friends.

The boat itself was immaculate—pristine! The modern interior was beautifully designed and in perfect condition, offering both luxury and comfort. Every detail was thoughtfully maintained, and the spacious layout made it easy to relax and enjoy the journey.
Captain Brandon was an absolute star. He was eager to make sure that everything was perfect for us, going above and beyond to accommodate and ensure we had a great time.
Having never been aboard a sailing catamaran like this it was was a dream come true. The combination of a beautiful, modern yacht and Captain Brandon’s outstanding service made this an unforgettable experience. We would highly recommend Sommer to anyone looking for a luxury sailing adventure.
