Yacht Description
OCELOT yacht is a 52.00 ft long sailboat catamaran and spends the summer season in Caribbean Virgin Islands (US/BVI), Bahamas, Caribbean Virgin Islands (US), Caribbean Virgin Islands (BVI) and winter season in Caribbean Virgin Islands (US/BVI), Caribbean Virgin Islands (US), Caribbean Virgin Islands (BVI). It was built by Lagoon in 2016. A refit was done in 2019. The yacht layout features 4 cabins and accommodates 8 guests. The cabin arrangement is following: 4 queen cabins.
and a generator.
Accommodation
4 guest queen cabins each with private en-suite electric head, vanity and separate shower. Crew have separate twin bunk cabin and private head. Entire yacht is full air-conditioned for client comfort.
Salon offers lounge/formal dining area in addition to aft deck alfresco dining.
Top fly-bridge offers seating and lounge area with 360 degree view. There is also a lounge area forward behind the large trampolines.
REFIT DETAILS: During the 2022/2023 season, Ocelot has had these items replaced or upgraded: New salon headliner & lighting strip, Paddle Boards, Bean Bags, and an Inflatable Mat, exterior cushions by Lagoon, 42’ LG salon TV, Air conditioning optimization 120k BTUs, 13’ Dinghy, Interior cushions reupholstered, Generator complete rebuild, refrigerator, Underwater lights, More powerful fresh water pump, Elevated interior decor, Shower heads, Cooktop, Ice & water maker.

On return, a later departure enables the crew to have a more leisure morning with the guests before departing on the return sail from the Exumas to Nassau. The yacht will provide lunch on the day of departure if they opt to leave at 3pm. They offer standard noon-noon arrival/departure time if preferred.

Growing up in the Chesapeake Bay area, Tim has been privileged to spend most of his time on a variety of boats, both motor and sailing. Tim is a fan of traveling and exploring the world around him in search of local adventures. Tim’s appetite for adventure and people has brought him to the Virgin Islands. His experience on racing yachts, enhanced his passion for crewing and sailing and encouraged him to pursue advanced certifications to expand his capabilities. In addition to sailing, Tim has other interests including snowboarding and restoring old houses. He is also known for taking home awards from BBQ competitions! He lives by the motto “It’s all about the experience” and looks forward to sharing and guiding guests to experience the beauty and adventure of the islands. His calm demeanor, attention to safety, and dedication to his guests’ time in the islands will ensure the best experience for everyone aboard.
<b>Chef/First Mate Zara Browne</b>
Zara was born in Dublin, Ireland and moved to Long Island at a young age where she found her love of the water. She spent her weekends sailing with her Dad and exploring the North Fork of Long Island. When she wasn’t enjoying the outdoors she spent her down time at her family’s restaurant in Hoboken, NJ where her love of fresh quality food began.
Her professional background has always been in the restaurant industry and hospitality. She has over 15 years of bartending experience and another 5 years in luxury concierge services working closely with high profile NYC restaurants, planning extravagant events, and running private spas and gyms.
When Zara felt she wanted a change of pace she decided what better way to bring her love of hospitality and the water together than joining the yachting industry. She has been lucky enough to work under multiple yacht chefs where she has been able to add a new layer of knowledge to her personal culinary experience.
Zara has always had a passion for bringing a memorable experience to her guests and looks forward to helping form unforgettable memories aboard Ocelot through food, cocktails, and the ambiance of the islands.

<b> Captain Arlene Mangold</b>
Fate, or perhaps favorable winds, brought Arlene and Jason together in the Sea of Cortez. Both share a deep love for sailing, preferring the quiet power of the wind to the rumble of engines whenever possible.
Without any prior experience, Arlene captained a 47ft ketch, earning her experience the hard way. Her first voyage was helping deliver a motor yacht from Mexico to Washington. This dreaded passage is called the baja bash, it is a difficult journey against wind, waves, and current. When she returned to Mexico she cruised for 3 years with her son on her sailboat. This took her from Mexico to Key West via the Panama Canal.
She conquered the dreaded Papagayo Winds, which blow with hurricane force, cruised 400 miles off shore, and visited amazing local towns along the way. During the Panama Canal transit her boat suffered mechanical problems she had to overcome. Using local knowledge she then sailed from Panama to Key West, taking advantage of favorable currents and winds to arrive in only 7 days.
Arlene's deep love for the ocean extends beyond the surface. Her dive computer boasts over 800 dives, encompassing wrecks, caves, the thrill of night dives, and the captivating world of underwater photography. A true water enthusiast, she embraces every aspect the ocean offers, from diving and snorkeling to fishing, exploring hidden coves, and savoring local culinary delights.
<b>Chef/First Mate Joseph Craig</b>
Joseph is a seasoned chef with 24 years of experience in the culinary industry.
Currently associated with Alaska Boardwalk Lodge, Joseph specializes in world cuisine. Throughout his culinary career, he has honed his skills in various prestigious kitchens and has worked alongside renowned chefs. Additionally, Joseph has had the unique opportunity to serve as a private chef for
A-list actors, bringing his culinary expertise to high-profile clients. Joseph’s work has been featured in publications highlighting his expertise and passion for the culinary arts.
Joseph’s career has taken him around the world, with notable travels as a professional chef to
California, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Germany, and Alaska. These experiences have enriched his culinary perspective and inspired many of his unique dishes.
Outside of the kitchen, Joseph enjoys surfing, exploring the ocean, fishing, music and skateboarding. These interests not only reflect his adventurous spirit but also inspire his creative culinary endeavors. He is also a proud father of a beautiful daughter named Skye and loves being a dad, which adds another dimension of joy and fulfillment to his life.

It was amazing!! Tim and Zara are the most gracious hosts! We had so much fun with them! The boat was beautiful! You could tell they took pride in their work! Zara is an amazing cook- Tim made a few yummy things as well! Tim had great knowledge of local things. Took us to the “popular “ places but took us to places we didn’t know about and we had some great adventures! I couldn’t recommend this trip enough- especially with Tim and Zara!!

Bucket list/ dream trip USVI and BVI. Tim and Zara were a perfect match for our “Party of 5.” The food 10/10. Loved the attention to detail for the teens whether it came to chilling on the mat or Tim giving sailing lessons… as we write our reflection of the week, we cannot decide on if lobsters and limbo on Anegada or hiking the Baths or snorkeling the Indians.. all of it was pure perfection.
Thank you Zara for the attention to detail on our preference sheet and more!! We will miss paradise but are so grateful to have made lifetime memories.

An epic week of birthday celebrations who knew that a bunch of 60 year olds could shut down the Willy T and Foxys! What an amazing week of fun, sun, drinks, and karaoke. The food was fantastic, breakfast lunch and dinner. No other crew that we will sail with ever again. Thank you!!

Hands down best family vaca! Voted by all of us. Zara and Tim made our time on the water so special. The meals were above and beyond delicious and accommodating our family's dietary needs is not easy. Beautiful coves and water activities were perfect for our adventurous family. Our family has had a fabulous and relaxing sailing vacation in and around The USVI. From the moment we got onboard Tim and Zara were incredibly friendly, thoughtful, professional, and a warm desire to be attentive to our needs as their 1st family charter on Ocelot! We have sailed before on a catamaran in Croatia, so we know what to expect of a week living and dining on a catamaran. Tim and Zara did not disappoint. Dining on the boat was delicious, healthy, varied, and beautifully presented. Zara was easily able to accommodate our family's dietary needs as well. Zara was an incredible host and bartender! Tim definitely knows his way around The USVI and every great beach, snorkeling area and routes to sail. Tim was flexible in giving us options for the day so we were able to pack in a lot during a day- snorkle, paddle, kayak, and hike all in a day. Tim and Zara became part of our family unit as the trip progressed which made it that much more special. We were absolutely blown away with nightly Hanukkah treats for us- really so unique and thoughtful. We would 100% love the opportunity to sail again with Tim and Zara

I cant even put into words how great this past week on Ocelot has been! Ocelot is a beautiful boat, the USVI is an amazing place, but what really made our trip special was the two of you! Devan, you are an awesome Captain and role model for our girls. You enthusiasm for chartering and always being up for the next adventure made this trip so much more fun for all of us! Tim, in addition to being an excellent chef, you taught poker and always knew the perfect time to offer a cocktail! Both of you were so patient and kind with our gaggle of kids. They adore you! This week was perfect! You both made it the best trip we have ever had. Everything was beautiful! Thank you for setting up all of the activities for us. This is a trip that we will never forget. We have had the best time this week with friends and family. And you two made it even more special. You broke my seasickness cherry and Ashley just likes to follow me so she had to join in. Ashley is an adventure/history seeker so you guys checked those boxes in St. Croix. And we are prepared now for the journey. We just helped with some lessons for your future charters. Wow! What a whirlwind of great days, great views, great food and great company! This was just what the doctor ordered after at home for a year. You make running a charter look easy – we know its not! You're always looking for ways to add to a meal, a picnic, or a dinghy ride. The food was just fantastic. We appreciate all your efforts to keep us on the healthy side and keeping it super flavorful with out going overboard on heat! The kids had the time of their lives - tubing, snorkeling, kayaking and hanging out with you two. We started to dream of this trip 1 ½ years ago...little did we know that a pandemic would have us stuck in our houses for the past year. We were so excited to be able to take this trip despite travel restrictions. You and Tim showed us the best snorkel spots and beaches. We were all looking forward to each meal – truly gourmet! But by far, our awesome Captain and first mate were what we will remember best with time. You two are the best – from dance parties and s'mores with all the kids to beating us all to cards – you made our trip fabulous!! We hope to sail with you again soon and challenge you to a rematch! We hit the jackpot with you two and Ocelot – thank you so much!! Skiing and tubing was also so much fun!! And the boat concert – unbelievable!!

We came into this trip very unsure of what to expect. We were not disappointed at all. Kevin who is not a fan of water did this trip for me since it was a bucket list trip. And this is the most that I have seen hi relax in a long time. No Phone and no work for 7 days. So, thank you both!! We were offered many options for activities (weather permitted). The food was spectacular!! And the company even better! You girls are special 😊 Keep up the good work stay sweet and always smile even with the difficult guests. The good fun guests will make up for the crabby boring ones. Lol like us!! Blessings to both of you and if you are ever in WV look s up….
