Yacht Description
KINGS RANSOM yacht is a 76.00 ft long sailboat catamaran and spends the summer season in Caribbean Virgin Islands (BVI) and winter season in Caribbean Virgin Islands (BVI). It was built by Matrix Yachts in 2008. A refit was done in 2022. The yacht layout features 5 cabins and accommodates 10 guests. The cabin arrangement is following: 1 king cabin, 4 queen cabins.
The sailboat features 2 of each engines and a generator.

Captain Stefan will always make you feel safe and completely comfortable. Stefan has been a Captain for over 20 years and is also your onboard PADI Dive Instructor and e-foil instructor, plus he is an avid surfer, kitesurfer, wakeboarder, freediver and general watersports enthusiast. Mate Chloe is your extraordinary experience maker aboard, as well as your yoga therapist and meditation coach. She makes every guest feel especially special and elevates every charter into a retreat; not just for your body, but also you mind and soul. We get on with people of all ages and from all walks of life and we speak several languages aboard (English, French, German, Spanish & Afrikaans). We make sure you have everything you need to create magical memories and enjoy THE most wonderful vacation of your lifetime.
CHLOE & STEFAN met 16 years ago outside a supermarket in Bali; the next day they embarked on a worldwide sailing adventure on their own boat and just kept on going... After several years and >40,000nm each of life afloat, they started working on crewed yachts 7 years ago (also runners up ‘best in show’ at the BVI boatshow). Stefan is an open-minded and optimistic Master Mechanical Engineer who’s worked in aerospace, automotive and major civil projects. He has sailed all oceans, designed and built his own boats and is also a well-respected technical author and consultant on boatbuilding. Stefan is our resident merman who loves excels at just about every watersport going. He is also a talented musician, creating soundscapes aboard.
Chloe’s professional background was in teaching (she used to be a University Professor and has worked all over the world; from Borneo to the Canary Islands). After travelling and sailing around the world with Stefan, her passion for health and wellness finally overtook her love of language and literature and she started hosting worldwide yoga and wellness retreats. She also loves dancing, writing, singing and dabbles in guitar and freediving. Together, Chloe & Stefan’s bliss is on the ocean in nature, working with people to create an uplifting and inspiring space based on integrity, respect and wholesomeness.
Chloe and Stefan are joined by a stewardess and a professional charter chef.
BERNADENE began her hospitality journey as a hostess while pursuing a degree in Law. Her natural charisma and dedication to excellence has allowed her to thrive in the hospitality industry. ‘Bernie’ joins the team from super yachts, elevating the hospitality aboard KR to the next level, with incredible cocktails as a professional mixologist, silver service and genuine passion for organizing themed soirées. With a deep commitment to personal growth, Bernie also mentors aspiring female entrepreneurs, helping them achieve their dreams with her Entrepreneur’s Playbook’ course, as a certified life coach and has also published her one gratitude journal.
MARK met Bernadene (his best sushi restaurant customer) and it was love at first sight. They have been married and lived and worked together for the past 7 years. Mark has trained extensively in Japanese cuisine alongside two Master chefs and for the past 20 years has worked in a plethora of prestigious restaurants around the globe, which has shaped a career and invoked a passion for creating edible art.
Mark is an accomplished restaurateur (owner and Head Chef of the world- famous ‘Fushin Sushi’, which won him a spot in the Top 40 Under 40 Business awards), as well as a Diageo Institution Cocktail award. Not only is he an acclaimed and accomplished gourmet superyacht chef, Mark is also a licensed skipper himself, who volunteers for Sea Rescue and is an FAA ‘rated’ pilot. Mark loves flying around the islands and also has a passion for classic cars & vintage motor racing.
Mark is also author of ‘The Superyacht Alchemist’ and has served up spectacular feasts aboard many high-end superyachts, catering to UHNW individuals.

We want you to know that our cruise was the BEST EVER trip we have ever taken. It was a blast!
I can't believe I was worried about the children running out of things to do and our family being too close for a week to ever speak to each other again. Quite the opposite!
You kept us moving discovering,playing, sightseeing,shopping, doing card tricks and eating (Oh yes, we did enjoy eating at breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner).
You kept our itinerary running smoothly for the whole family - all ages, all interests and all already formed ideas. A time for everybody and that's not easy! You never disappointed, only impressed.

Love love the crew! They were fantastic. Harley had two ear infections and the crew was so wonderful with her. Just can't say enough. Niki is a wonderful chef. Food was fantastic. We enjoy every morsel.

It is well known that this charter places a great emphasis on dining and, with guests switching yachts for dinners, stimulates a good natured and unstated competition amongst the yachts. Niki and everyone on Kings Ransom did an outstanding job and received great comments from both their home guests and those that visited for dinner on the dine-around nights. This feat is not to be taken lightly considering the competition throughout the fleet.
We have received emails and letters from the Kings Ransom guests saying how wonderful the crew were and how happy they were with the yacht, the meals and the service.

Niki: the food Quality Taste Services and Presentations were excellent, you provided what we asked for and gave us many options to choose from, perfect choices from a perfect Chef
With some Children as Guests, Banter was more or less a perquisite of the package, but the banter that you both gave to the Children was clever and thoughtful, and it came across as, you both genuinely enjoying your success at making some Childrens eyes and mouths wide open.
We as Well Travelled Grand Parents are fully aware that we should have left all Table Clearing away to you and your Crew, many times you all reminded us that it was part of your service, however, irrespective of how much we paid for the charter neither Hazel nor I, wanted the Children to lack the courtesy of a Helping-Hand
Pete: based upon our day to day dealings, you are definitely a Class Act you made us feel very much at ease, and secure in the knowledge that we were in very safe hands.
Your Parents must be very proud of you; we have never regretted not having a Son; however one in your mold would have been a blessing (Yes Yes Niki roughly speaking you would have made a great fourth Daughter).
I have not mentioned Andy or Sara much above, as a separate letter is going to them, it goes without saying that they both served you well, With regards to the Children, Andys entertainment efforts were well over and above the line of duty. His interaction with us was excellent.
Sara provided the On Board Services that as Guests we could not have asked for a more thoughtful, mindful person to look after our needs

I cannot think of a better way to spend Christmas than on the Kings Ransom with my family and this brilliant crew. All ten of us from Max (2 yrs) to Murray (70+ yrs) have had the trip of a lifetime. Everything (and I mean everything) was First Rate. The cabins were as good, if not better than a five star hotel. The attention to detail provided by each of you was more than we could have hoped for. I dont know if we could have fit one more activity into our trip. The scuba diving was a real treat. However, what we enjoyed the most was spending eight great days with our family in the beautiful BVIs, knowing that our every need and want would be taken care of by the most competent Euros, Emily, Arnold & Rica.
