Day 1: Palma From the airport it’s only an eight km drive to the heart of Mallorca. Palma is the biggest town with one of the largest marinas in Europe. Enjoy the Paseo Maritimo and the cathedral, discover the back streets with life music and great restaurants and bars.
Day 2: Cala Portals Vells Cala Portals Vells is well protected. Once you have entered the anchorage, there is a fine restaurant, Es Répos, on the port side, where you can enjoy fresh sea food, meats and tapas. Snorkelling and exploring the natural caves can be done from the boat.
Day 3: Isla Cabrera Isla Cabrera National Park is Mallorca’s most southerly island. A permit is required to obtain a mooring buoy for the night; only 50 yachts are permitted per day. Swim in clear waters or hike up to the Na Picamosques, the highest point on Cabrera.
Day 4: Colonia Sant Jordi Only 10 NM away from Cabrera is Colonia Sant Jordi. The hotels in the bay offer a wide variety of water sports from tubing, kayaking to jet-ski rentals. Sant Jordi being a fishing village, fresh fish is on the menu daily at the beach-front restaurants.
Day 5: Sa Rapita Enjoy a long, white beach to suck up the sun, or explore the town. Marina Sa Rapit has full services: water, fuel and provisions.
Day 6: Cala Pi Snorkel and swim in turquoise waters, or relax on a fine white beach. Diving is yet another pastime. Expect to see schools of fish, octopuses and crabs. A lovely little beach bar offers a wide selection of refreshments.
Day 7: Palma Be sure to get an early start to enjoy the last days on the water, sailing past S’Arenal into the Bay of Palma. Palma has so much to offer you could spend weeks and not see it all. Small alleyways, bars and tapa restaurants will delight you on your last night, while you review your Mallorca sailing vacation.
